Bond Cheque Information
Bonds
All Winter Sports registrations are required to put in 5 or 10 hrs per family (depending on the program) of volunteer time towards coaching or a fundraising event. Kidskate - no bond cheque required
- Canskater - $125 Bond Cheque - 5 hrs required
- Intermediate - $250 Bond Cheque - 10 hrs required
- Senior - $250 Bond Cheque - 10 hrs required
- Power Skating - no bond cheque require
- If a family wishes NOT to participate in volunteering hours, they may "opt" out of the programme and date their bond cheque June 15, 2011, at which time their name will be removed from the "volunteer call list" and their cheque will be cashed
- Bond cheques will be kept and recorded separately from registration cheques
- Upon completion of the volunteer hours "bond cheques" will be returned or destroyed
- Bond hours will be counted for executive positions, coaching and fundraising events
- Volunteer hours can be accumulated from April 1st, 2011 until March 31st, 2012.
- Bond cheques must be post-dated for March 31st, 2012 and handed in with the registration. Bond cheques will be cashed if the total required bond hours are not completed by March 31st, 2012.
- The BVAA will release information soon about how to keep track of bond hours.
