The Beaver Valley Figure Skating Club has been in operation for over 50 years.  We are a registered Skate Canada club.  We offer a variety of programs for children of all ages, such as Canskate, Starskate and CanPower Skate.  Whether it is your first time on the ice, or if you have been skating for years, the Beaver Valley Figure Skating Club is a terrific club to be a part of where children can learn while having fun and making new friendships.

All Skate Canada member clubs and skating schools who offer a Canskate program must ensure all Canskaters participating up to and including Stage 5 must wear a CSA approved hockey helmet while on the ice. Please see: for more details about this policy.

History of the Beaver Valley Figure Skating Club

During Canada's Centennial year, 1967, the BVAA made a decision to initiate a figure skating program in the Beaver Valley.  Until then, the BVAA had only dealt with boys' sports.  A Ladies Auxilliary was formed to assist with this new program.

Following the BVAA motto "For Youth We Strive", their objective was to ensure that every child who wishes to learn to skate was provided an opportunity to do so.  Funds were raised for ice time and coaching through countless hours in the arena canteen, bake sales, etc.

The Beaver Valley Figure Skating Club is very proud to have had such a solid foundation and we continue to work hard to offer a successful skating club to our community.  With the help of many  valuable volunteers, eager skaters, dedicated coaches and assistants, committed parents, and the continued support of the BVAA,  the Beaver Valley Figure Skating Club is a great environment to enjoy the love of skating!
